Every resiliency plan needs a rain water harvesting component.   It's not just during a drought that saved water might come in handy. 

 

This green advocate was lucky to have rain water saved during a few hurricanes and winter storms when power was out and there was no back up power to pump water out of the well. The stored water came in awfully handy to use to flush toilets.
