Paris Sprouting Solar Powered LED Street Lights That Look Like Trees
Who said solar panels have to be ugly? Certainly not the French! French designer, Matthieu Lehanneur, launched an urban lighting collection named "Clover", a series of "trees" that were digitally carved from wooden masts. The LED lamps blooming on top are 100% solar powered.
The cool "Clover" design also comes with a bench and connection for passersby to charge their smartphones. Now this is street art of the 21st Century. Beautiful, functional and with an elegant whimsy that fits right in to the je ne sai quoi Paris vibe. Check out Matthew Lehanneur
