The Smog Tree Tower: Dutch Designer Daan Roosegaarde Takes Carbon Particles Polluting the Air &
Daan Roosegaarde says "In the Netherlands we live 9 months shorter because of smog." As a solution Roosegaarde and his team of experts have used patented ion technology to build the world's largest smog vacuum cleaner.
The Smog Free Tower in Rotterdam (pictured above) produces smog-free bubbles of public space, allowing people to breathe and experience clean air for free. The 7 meter high Smog Free Tower runs on green energy and is as beautiful as many modern public sculptures.
What's cool is Roosegaarde creates jewellery from the collected smog particles. The smog dust filled with carbon is compressed into high-end jewelry like the Smog Free Ring and Smog Free Cufflinks.

"Pollution, It is really weird that to accept it as something normal, to take for granted ” says Daan Roosegaarde.
